It'll be interesting to see how they deal with staff/services relocation, which presumably will be necessary to facilitate the restructuring of the interior of existing buildings.
And I hope the update to the façade of TV block is more than just grey paint over the existing red bricks, which seems to be what those architect drawings suggest.
BBC Blackstaff Studio is the largest television studio in Belfast city centre at 6,000 Sq Ft, I doubt they will ever let go of that studio.
Currently at the moment Broadcasting House in Belfast just have two small studios, mainly used for news programmes, Studio B and Studio 1, with Studio B always used by BBC Newsline, and Studio 1 having to use the BBC NI OB Unit like Studio A at Blackstaff House.
Will the new Broadcasting House mean a larger studio, audience based studio?

Not much of a surprise really, given that there can't be that many other tv studios in Belfast city centre. I can't see the BBC retaining it just because of that. If it became unviable through lack of regular use, I'm sure the BBC would consider closing it.
It might be the largest studio in Belfast city centre, but is by no means the largest in Belfast, as detailed here (if you include film studios):

Studio A is used a lot by local programmes such as Nolan Live. Mastermind are filming their new series in it now too, they have left Salford for Belfast, so maybe a sign the BBC plan to move some network productions to Blackstaff Studio?
With regards to the film studios would linked to, they are far too big for regular television productions. Yes they are great assets to Belfast, but the medium size of Studio A is what chat shows, game shows, quizzes, debate shows prefer in size and audiences. It can also be well used for sitcoms, as the popular Give My Head Peace is made there.
