I've often wondered why BBC World don't have a dedicated programme towards British News. Simply because we (UK viewers) get, or are supposed to get 30mins of BBC World News every morning, so why not BBC World join News 24 for half an hour!

If you're abroad for any length of time, chances are you're a business guru, or someone who wants to escape the high Taxes from the UK coz you're a multi-millionaire (chance would be a fine thing!!).

If that's the case, you'll have internet access, therefore be able to pick up various UK news stations, or web sites

If you're travelling for pleasure, you can pick up UK newspapers without too much trouble. Also, on the flight back they provide newspapers on the plane to enable you to catch up.
So not a problem.

And as stated, BBC World is not in any shape or form a 'UK News channel', it is, by it's name, a World channel, providing unbiased World News

Yeah I agree that BBC World is a World news channel but like you say it should have a a 30 min program if only once in the day form News 24, it's surely not too much to ask!
