The old topic (if there was one, and if there was, i've lost it!) relating to BBC Breakfast needs kicking in once more!!

So good to see Bill and Sian back together this morning. Yes, i know it's only 6.23, but already it feels absolutely spot-on, and has been missed over the last couple or few weeks. When will the BBC wake up and smell the coffee and give THEM the Monday to Thursday slot??

It feels genuine, compared to Dermot and Natasha who feel false and distant.

On the topic of Breakfast it was a bit of a botched ending. I was watching on N24 and LDN sort of ended their Travel Bulletin and cut back to the main presenters while the travel woman was still talking then when LDN cut back to Breakfast Bill said his short goodbye and the title music played for like 2 seconds. Then they were on screen for a few seconds without sound..... The clock was still at 08.58

Then as I type this.. lol we get an Ad clock still 08.58. So we're saying this ad lasts for 30secs. The ad ends and we get about a 6 second countdown - To me 30 + 6 = 36 not 60 seconds so not a full minute to the hour. The clocks now gone and it was a bit of a Botched beginning to N24 to.

I agree with you entirely. Bill & Sian are two of the most talented presenters that BBC News possess, if not THE most talented. It does indeed feel absolutely spot on. I have always wondered why they persist with Dermot and Natasha, who I'm sure are both lovely people but just do not work well together - there is no chemistry.

In my opinion, Bill & Sian are not seen as high profile or, dare I say it, attractive enough. The BBC have hired Dermot and Natasha on the basis of previous good individual form without the slightest thought to how the pairing might work on screen.

If I were Bill & Sian I would be looking for a move to another channel, one where their talents were appreciated and fully utilised. Perhaps they could present the replacement for Rise on Channel 4.

Some sad tw.at wrote in to POV today to complain that the presenters were looking at each other too much.
Fcs where are they meant to look, as long as they can read the autocue and look at the monitors does it matter. This myth of all important rapport and chemistry is so irrelevant to this programme. It is patently obvious that there is no feeling between any of the presenters on brkfast , I'd rather they looked at each other anyday than 'mug' at the camera or stare vacantly into space.

Even though the little montage of clips was rather humerous and sort of backs up what the person who wrote in to POV was saying............especially when Dermot was looking down and looked like he was looking at Natashas bum

I fail to see how anyone could suggest that Dermot & Natasha have more chemistry than Bill & Sian - has this POV viewer ever even seen the programme?

Well I'm glad about that! Just imagine what would happen if she left poor Bill all alone.

In all seriousness though, I wonder what this means. Is she soon to get a major job in television - perhaps the main role on Breakfast, with Bill? I might be reading too much into this, I don't know, but I'd imagine that a regular 5 Live Breakfast slot would be more prestigious than weekend Breakfast on television, so perhaps she's going on to bigger and better things soon.
Alternatively, it might just be that she enjoys working with Bill too much!

Mr Turnbull was on Breakfast this morning - he seems to be getting about a bit at the moment. What with the 6 last Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, Breakfast with Sian on Sunday and Breakfast with Natasha today he's been a very busy man.

I like it - it's good to see the BBC using Bill's talents to their full potential for a change.

I wonder if dreadful Dermot will be back tomorrow.

Incredibly funny moment on Breakfast this morning - when introducing Declan Currry for a story on the postal strike, Bill said to Natasha "you haven't had any for ages have you? The post that is!!" Funny how easy it is to have a slip of the tongue! Laughing

Well, I used to watch Breakfast TV until Natasha took over Sophie! What a flippin waste of space. I can't watch it now 'cause of her....chemistry or not get her off!
