I don't think of Michael Buerk as a morning person. You need to see a cheery fellow at that time of the day to help wake you up. Not somebody who'll send you back to bed.

CORRECTION: *You* need to see somebody who will wake you up at that time in the morning, *I* however need somebody to send me back to bed, as if I'm up at that time in the morning, there's invariably something wrong Wink

Breakfast is good apart from three things:

a) The awful background, that looks like a knocked together cheap imitation of the national one,
b) The awful name straps. What with these, N24s, and Newsnight's, the BBC seem to have lost any skill at all with designing them.
c) The awful Natasha Kaplinsky. I have no idea how intelligent she actually is (I suspect she must be, in real life, or else she wouldn't have progressed so far up) - but she comes across on-screen as a dozy vacant idiot.

I looks nowt like the national one. The national one is a newsroom wheeras the Brekkie one is BA HQ/shopping centre.

I really mean the style and idea, rather than the actual image. I wasn't that clear in my wording, sorry.

Indeed, you could call it loose language Wink

I think Natasha is marvellous. Natasha and Bill are I think a better pair than Sian and Bill. The problem is Dermot, first of all he looks a bit strange and his voice has an irritating tone. The problem is that Natasha and Dermot dont click like Sian and Bill do, and they have been terribly slow in changing that.

Leave Natasha alone, she's got nice legs! Razz

Now my question is what on earth does she look like when she wakes up! Wink

No, you're confusing Natasha with Bill.

Indeed - Natasha's legs were modelled on Phil's.

Just thought - that background with its glass roof and the sun streaming in is going to look really stupid when the dark mornings return!

Personally I can't wait to see Michael Buerk's legs again - I can only hope he's wearing those gorgeous fish-nets that he so elegantly thrust his hips around in during Comic Relief.
