Just interested to see what everyone's opinions are... I think I can guess what the outcome will be but you can be the judge of that. Also if you pick option 3 can you think of any alternative designs?
I'd love to see a universal standard across all BBC channels. And seeing as I like BBC TWO's new look, I'm sure you can guess what my answer to that question is...

Well wasn't the 1997 re-launch part of trying to improve the corporate identity? I think all the channels should have the same features so if BBC TWO is leading the way into this with its purple box and its fish then so be it! They should all follow suit!
Red box for BBC ONE, Purple for BBC TWO, Green for BBC THREE, Brown/Orange for BBC FOUR and Cream/China Red for N24. And perhaps Grey for Parliament.

I didn't like BBC TWOs redesign because I loved the old idents and the logo was always centered at the bottom like the other BBC Channels. However seeing as BBC TWO has already changed, to keep some kind of corporate look the BBC Boxes should be introduced on the other channels all featuring the different colours, unfortunately we have no idea what any new idents on ONE, CHOICE-THREE, KNOWLEDGE-FOUR will be like!
The BBC channels should keep their name as in BBC 1, Choice & Knowledge style but keep their separate logos such as the BBC1 globe the suttely designed 3 cubes of BBC 'Three'. BBC Four needs a logo change as currently it doesn't have a central 'image' it is basically 'explosions of knowledge' in various methods.

I've said it before, I'll say it again: Please BBC, see sense and don't ditch the balloon!! It can easily be adapted into a 'boxesque' (That's a new word I've made up - good isn't it!) ident so ... please do that!! And bring back the discontinued 'fast' idents while you're at it!
I've stopped watching what ident shows up now. The purple box brigade look really rubbish in widescreen. Their moving away from centralised text shows a lack of understanding on the part of the Beeb suits as to the whole widescreen thing, and how irritating the 4x3 safe zone is, when it is identified by left and right justification of all text on the screen. The old centralised safe zones were fine.
I am already bored with yellow too. *sigh* And to think, I was quite excited at the thought of some new twos.
Anyone know where I can get an application from to become controller of BBC TWO?
