A few weeks ago the BBC Three holding caption during closedown was animated with the logo 'pumping', did anyone else see this, it would have been great if this stayed?

That was when BBC Three was using BBC Parliament's 24 hour slot, so used that caption before they actually went broadcasting 24 hours. That would be impossible now, since it shares the stream with CBBC.

I haven't seen the downtime MHEG screens for BBC3 and BBC4 lately, I'll have to check those two channels in the next few days during their downtime.
CBBC and CBeebies changed from their red MHEG screens a good while ago; for some time the downtime MHEG screen backgrounds have been black on CBBC and pale blue on CBeebies.

For a long time, the BBC decided to use a bizarre 14:9 aspect ratio for their logos on Interactive digital text (and some video multiscreen) services. The theory was that they looked "less wrong" on both 4:3 and 16:9 displays than using one or the other. Of course they never looked right either...
Think 16:9 is now more usual.

Here is an odd one, due to Our Greatest Team: Athletes' Parade Live being shown on BBC One on Monday, Doctors has been pushed back to 16:00. This is fine, apart from the fact that BBC HD normally shows Doctors at 16:00, the same episode that was on BBC One earlier. I'm sure the schedule will be changed, but with less than a day to go, it seems odd that it hasn't already changed.

In the end, the parade overran, and the BBC One showing was the later repeat, eventually making it on air at 1645.

One programme, two channels. Not sure about the boxed BBC HD logo.
