I see there's been a change to the MHEG holding captions on Freeview - gone are the red menus listing the individual channels, and in their places channel-branded captions:

Yours are also missing the "If you can see the TV picture behind..."

Plus the colours on the BBC Three one differ from yours.

Out of interest, are you using TV software to display the MHEG or is it output captured from a Freeview box? (Mine is captured from Nebula's DigiTV)

It's a PCTV DVB-T2 USB dongle.

What software are you using with it?

Just the simple Windows Media Center.

You would think by now the BBC would use 16:9 as the default aspect ratio for the MHEG captions rather than 4:3 - the BBC3 logo looks awful in squashy vision.

Glad these have finally been changed - that list of channel numbers dates from when CBBC/CBeebies launched in early 2002, as a way of pointing people in the right direction as some of the BBC channels were now off air at various points of the day. I think they were light blue in those days but they could have done with a logo or two for a long time, always did look a bit grim!

I read somewhere that the main text pages use a slightly squished BBC logo so it looks OK-ish on both formats. Although they clearly haven't here.
