BBC Should be ashamed to call themselves British

There has been some awful scheduling done by all networks.

I've actually got a list (published by Channel 4) of the songs the entire BBC Radio Network was not allowed to play during the Gulf War. I'll put it up if I get chance, but they seem to be getting away with rather a lot, but when you consider that it's all happened so quickly, the broadcasters haven't had much time to prepare.

The worst I've seen, and probably the most ironic, has been provided by Channel 5. When I flicked on to them during the news report they'd broken into programme with, the programme scheduled for that time was something like 'The Future of the World'. That wasn't the exact title but something similar - incidentally, if anyone could find out what the name of the programme was that afternoon I'd be very grateful.

It appears ITV have dropped daylight in favour of what looks like a film set in the 18th century. In case you didnt know daylight is a disater movie - set in NYC which makes it seem obvious why it was dropped.

I didn't see Question Time, so I can't really comment on that, but what I definitely think is appalling is that the BBC are showing Casualty tonight.  I thought they'd at least make an announcement before the programme along the lines of 'due to the events of the past week, you may not want to watch lots of people being gruesomely injured and dying on telly', but they didn't even do that.

Considering they ran that footage of the plane crashing into the tower, killing lots of real people, many times over, I really don't think that a few fictional characters dying matters all that much.

I mean, which is sicker, really?

(This post has not actually been edited at all because I think I made a ****ing good point in it, actually. Oh, except that I've added this bit in brackets here.)
