I can cope with that, it's discreet and doesn't distract from the coverage, but the BBC spinning V really bugs me.

Not sure about this BBC swingometer.
So far the ITV virtual studio has not helped me work anything out.
GOt the most useful info from Sky in graphics terms.

Personally I like it, that purple colour is very stylish

I don't mind the spinning V that much - now you've mentioned it, it IS annoying, but they could've done worse! I quite like the way you get the view in the background which scrolls down as the V screw-thread spins
