There website is obnoxiously arty and creative. I'm sure it's won a lot of awards.

The actual look I really like - much better than UK.TV's in Australia (which is the closest we have to that, it's partially owned by the BBC) which is allow arrows in red and blue. Definately flashy enough to keep the American's attention.

Incredibly stylish and well put together promo vid - I can even forgive the use of that godawful Fergie track! Still doesn't change the fact that unless the BBC logo is on screen, I think I'm watching an ABC promo.

Am I going mad? I swear I've seen that Diner in some other ident already... Laughing

Exactly what I was thinking!

Really like the look - liked the old look aswell. How come they put so much more effort into the branding of BBC America, yet let any old **** playout on their flagship UK channel!

American TV is worth much more money, and have far bigger audiences, so there is more at stake.

Also as much as I like that look, I wouldnt want it for any of their UK Channels!

I agree, though I do think that BBC One now have an extremely strong brand, and gorgeous idents.

The thing that I mostly love about these is that fact that they've created a brand to symbolise BBC America, without using the worded logo. It works so greatly in their presentation by the look of that.

I agree with the earlier post of ITV should use this company, I agree.

But then that brings me onto another point, why does the ITV2 and ITV3 presentation still excite me as appeal to me so much after being on air for over a year, yet ITV1 who have had two looks doesn't get me at all.

Saying that though when I watch back and see the original idents from last year with the emotions, etc. I sort of get it. Is it just association with the memory of everything changing?

Don't I appreciate things until they're gone?

That's what I thought, couldn't ITV use them to rebrand next time?

There are many companies ITV could use but don't. For example, the could also use The Hive (who created the popular SF1 idents and also made the 2003 ITV1 Xmas Graphics) as well as mOcean. Also, if they wanted to stick with a well known British design company, what's wrong with Lambie Nairn? That's the problem with ITV today.

Despite the 'target' bit being a straight rip from abc1 over here (i've no idea what channel identity abc in America has, if any) I actually quite like that.

I assumed, with the introduction of the 'target' that the BBC logo and font was to be ditched, but it's quite a slick design incorporating it - nice.

I especially like this:

It's only on the promo for a couple of seconds (but may be shown on screen as an ident of it's own), but I think the highway in the form of a union flag is an amazing image - absolutely brilliant! Top marks!

Recently purchased a new dyson and discovered this on the manual. Yes, it appears the dyson font is remarkably similar to the ABC/BBC AMERICA one. Does anyone know what the dyson font is called? (I took the picture with my phone so I hope you can see what I mean. If you cant go on the dyson website and find an 'a'!!!)
