BBC America used to be played out from Discovery's operation in Maryland - but I'm not sure if it still is. It was part of the wider BBC/Discovery joint deal that also included co-producing shows ISTR.

Maryland? way back when, it used to be based in Washington but it's now in NY...(pres i mean, not tx which i guess you're talking about!)
would have to root out the contacts there though...but I see you're a v/o agency and guess you want to branch out there?

Ah - my mistake.
I think I must have got confused by the various corporate operations - AIUI the management was in Virginia?

AIUI the running of the channel including the media planning (which decides what goes in between the programmes) is done at BBC Worldwide in New York.
The last time I saw it they didn't have continuity announcements (except for a booming pre-recorded intro to the news) which is the norm for US TV
