They specifically said a power cut (well, they would!) but the way all channels just went black does make me think it was - they would have cut to something else if an alert surely!

This is very embarassing for the BBC, especially if their international channels have been hit. 10s of millions of people will have been hit.

Right, let's see what my sources at the BBC can find out. I'll be back in about an hour maybe!!!

See you then!

On NTL Cable on the Bedfordshire area, UK Gold is just a black screen and BBC News 24 has visuals but no audio at all. Picture is dreadful. All flickery and jumpy.

There is nothing coming out of UKTV at all - SKYdigital is just sticking with a still of the previous channel, and DTT is still black!!

Why aren't UKTV apologising, or are they letting the beeb handle that??

Not really.
Let's be honest, there isn't very much they can do if there are pwoer supply problems in London.

Anything on Sky News? I would've thought they would have started to rub it in that they can do things right but the beeb can't!!

As all UKTV output comes from TVC, I guess it's just not their priority at the moment!

But yes, I do want to see their new caption and music (a variation of the ident i think)

My BBC ONE DTT is back, but is broadcasting a 16:9 picture into a framed 4:3 shot .. if you understand what I mean!
