Good news William. I've just edited the BBC One music and cut the announcements.

Fortunately, I caught the 'technical hitch' early. Since they played the music two or three times, I managed to edit it perfectly.

Sounds pretty good, even though I say so myself!

I'll e-mail it to Asa, so perhaps he could upload it here?

Cheers

BBC News 24 on NTL Cable has now got sound but the visuals are still flickering and the screen shape is totally wrong. It's kinda in widescreen although there aren't any black bars. Everything seems squashed.

My News24 on ntl: is fine and has been since it came back last night. They must be sending out the anamorphic widescreen picture, must be a switching fault that's been overlooked.

In Asa's clip does anyone know who the second female CA is called.  I just love that voice!!

The second!, No the first was much nicer, more in touch, the second was when compared to the first too posh - god I hate that word.

My God, I go away for a night and a day, come back and there is a topic spanning 23 pages !! What's more I missed the whole event !! This has to be the quickest growing topic of all time. Right, I'm off to carry on reading at page 4, I could be some time.

If I were you, I'd print it out and read it like that! Your eyes will be killing when you've finished online!

Trust us! We must be the only people who could possibly talk on 23 pages about the BBC going off air for 20 mins!!

But we still seem no closer to knowing what actually happened!! Nobody from the BBC at White City seems to have been in here since last night... anyone got any ideas?!

Erm, stupid question time.

If there was a power failure at TVC, how did BBC World carry on throuhout? Or does World not broadcast from TVC?

I must admit that my heart did jump when I noticed EVERY service from TVC I could receive was off - it did seem rather sinister.

The press have said that the cause was a mystery, but that they had ruled out terrorism or suspicious circumstances.
