BBC OFF AIR

BBC Two are still doing some interesting things.

Pages From Ceefax, finaly got roling about 2:43am. However, the shot was above-centre, nearly putting the header out of display.

The Learing Zone is now on, using a BBC Two DOG, on the top-right hand corner. I always thought they used their DOG in the top-left position?

BBC2 Nations DSat 964-966 are still 'technical fault'

(and this is the 300th post in this thread!)

Not only is the BBC TWO dog on the oposite side but the BBC One feed of News24 duesn't have any apart from the clock, BBC Two is in 16:9 letterbox and channel 4 are showing a very funny japaneese B Movie

The BBC TWO dog is also extremely poor quality.

It is, why do they put it on overnight anyway?

It's just a bit of pointless fun.

It's just occured to me that I haven't been to sleep tonight. Silly me.

Anyway I think i mightnow. Have a go at the imaginary quiche shooting, you might get a good score, it's up to you.

I must also get some shut-eye. Although its nearly light where I am now, and I never go to sleep whilst its getting light. Best time of the day!

Also, I fancy a trip down my local car boot, so I'll be able to get there early and get all the bargains!

Well, I'm up bright and early - 8:50. I taped overnight. I got Alex Deakin announcing that they had 'demons at TV Centre', and I got another mistake!

Breakast at 6 had a static BBC NEWS logo with the headline bed over it, instead of the countdown, which was followed by the crash of the headline bed! They used the generic one (unusual) yet they did have the Breakfast titles.

I'll capture it and send it to Asa.

Ooh, yippee - 1st July means only 9 days to go!

I decide to go out for one night and there's a general failure at the BBC! I have no idea what happened to BBC Prime, does anyone else?

Btw, BBC Prime isn't getting rebranded, it was only done last December. The Learning Zone is apparantly going to be rebranded...is this the case on BBC Two as well?

I caught the end of CBBC Two, and they said they had been having technical problems throughout the morning

Now a question, How long was BBC One and BBC Two England analogue showing a black screen, before they went to the apology captions?

I'm just encoding as many apology announcements (over their captions) for BBC One and BBC Two as possible, then I'll piece them all together removing most of the music either side. I'll upload them later today.

I may as well create a 'Power Failure' page and put last year's files on there as well. If anyone has any clips that they would like to feature on the page, feel free to send them over or link to them here and they'll feature.

(Also, the BBC Two announcer didn't half seem relieved at closedown!)
