There's a few stills which someone uploaded about 10mins ago from the ONdigital group --> Click Here

I'm not sure if you actually have to be a memeber of that group or not to view them though. I didn't want to copy them here direct due to the recent copyright message about other peoples pics.

yeah - I suppose Chesh is right - it's not really news is it?!

But I would have thought N24 would have a live bod outside TVC in darkness or something like that

Is it possible staff were evacuated? The fire alarms may have been affected or something like that. It's just that BBC News Online hasn't been updated since 21.21

I don't think N24 had a caption slide - it was just a blank feed

Thanks for those! You can hear the anno press the button to show the programm except it turns up a little late and so we get a split second of the balloon 'carrying on' at a different angle. I love the music to that ident though!

Cheers, Asa - checking UK Gold and waiting for BBC2 to finish...

From PA (ananova) - typically vague/inaccurate first report:

The BBC is investigating a technical fault that knocked its two main analogue TV channels off the air for 20 minutes.

BBC1 and BBC2 went dark shortly before 9.30pm as viewers were watching the Richard Gere movie Red Corner and retrospective programme I Love 1975 respectively.

A spokesman said: 'There was a technical fault. We are investigating what happened. We apologise for the disruption.'

I don't think News 24 have an apology caption at all - the best they could manage for last year's power failure was the test card!

Where's that from?
