To be presented by Lenny Henry and Kirsty Young....

Why Lenny Henry?! Is it meant to be comedy or serious? Surely they've missed a trick by not getting Michael Buerk in!

It's like pairing Trevor McDonald and Jack Whitehall.

Lenny Henry is garbage.

Yes he is.

I think they've got away with having Lenny present this - it doesn't seem odd in the slightest. Mainly because it's been introduced as a lively, glamourous and 'gravitas lite' awards do, they are having a bit of a laugh and leaving most of the really serious tone to Mister VT.

Kirsty can manage that too when needed. But overall, I think they've sought to keep it light that they wouldn't have wanted Michael Buerk joining her - in any other instance, he may have been first choice. Michael alongside Lenny, well, I can't see that...

It is a shame Michael is not presenting, but I'm not 100% sure if he'd fit in as well as he would otherwise have done, with the mood at which the event itself has been pitched.
