Very naughty of the BBC not to pre-publicise the programme on 2W tonight from 21:50 to 22:00 about the school in Newport making all the animated Christmas idents for 2W.

As well as the schoolchildren and lots of plasticine, it featured a very famous member of TV Forum, sitting in his continuity suite in Llandaff and talking about the subject.

Look out for the idents on satellite channel 991. They break with tradition, wonderfully, by adding credits for the children to each of them.

Well done, BBC Wales.

I've heard a whisper on the grapevine that somebody who refused to appear in it forgot to tell the person who did appear that refusal was an option.

At long last BBC One Wales have dropped the winning/losing sport idents.

Would it be inappropriate at this point to ask if anybody has caps of the programme last night?

Afraid I haven't. I only managed to catch it last night because of a point at the end of an On Show programme which I dumped onto tape. I watched 21:50 to 22:00 live, not realising who was going to be the star.

There is a whisper on the jolly old grapevine, however, that it might be repeated on the birthday of the channel director featured therein.

We'll have to hope he lets us into the secret of when his birthday occurs.

Might buy you a small pint, if you promise to be nice to the landlord's dog!

I had three double Vodka and Cokes tonight.

Do I need to appear on telly to have the wonderful Mr Harvey purchase these for me in the future?

That rather depends on whether my next visit is to Llandaff or Dundee.
