Paul & Colin have done an excellent job on BBC HD/3D tonight, why they need separate commentators I don't understand, but it seems that they've done a better job than the BBC One team as posts read on here.

Huw and Hazel have done a great job, Trevor has left a lot to be desired - out of his depth.

People saying how successful the USA are, well the size of the population of the USA compared to the UK... They are going to be good, more people to choose from!

Yes, and considering the amount of money that's thrown at their various school and university sports programmes.

Well that was nice. I'm sure there made a mix up claiming one was the last to get in 1999, then say the exact same for another but said there were the last to get tv just six years ago.

Nah, nah, nah... heather mills... Nah, nah, nah, nah

Bit sexist of McCartney, all the ladies now... Then didn't do the same for the blokes and got a huge boo...

Also a complete lack of singing from the crowd to Hey Jude.

There are significantly less athletes than I've ever saw before at an Opening Ceremony. All a bit meh to be honest.

So tomorrow brings the sporting action to our screens, 23 of them!

Seems like a big advert for Apple. Very Happy

I didn't quite get that, though the house/music/texting section very nearly became a big ad for Samsung

An Olympic ceremony finishing on time is as likely as no athlete failing a drugs test. They actually managed to chop around half an hour of the length of previous athletes parades, so that helps a bit as most go way over the 4 hour mark.
