Not sure what the issue is.

Gary is in the studio, linking the highlights of the day in a number of events (cycling, rowing, athletics etc.) and handing between teams in each arena for live stuff. John is at the stadium with Michael and Colin, just as Clare is at the swimming with Mark, and just as John was at Eton Dorney with Sir Steve.

The issue is tomorrow Gary will be presenting from the stadium, presumably at the expense of the BBC's senior Athletics presenter.

It's the fact Gary is going to be in the stadium, and the fact it brings up the question of how it effects Inverdale's role.

Perhaps Inverdale will be trackside (possibly with Michael Johnson ?), so it's Phil Jones who is being bounced out ?

Inverdale and Redgrave 'waterside' at the rowing has been one of the coverage highlights for me.

Even if Inverdale is trackside it is an undeserved demotion. The only thing that might justify it is if they send John rather than Sue to cover the Wimbledon finals, and then put Sue in the studio at night.

Hmm yes interesting thought there. Perhaps that is where Invers will be, that to me is more likely than him being trackside. It's still not right - he is the senior Athletics presenter and therefore must present the Olympic athletics. He's as good as a presenter as Lineker, but more knowledgable and far more experienced in Athletics.

They should have a presenter at the Tennis tomorrow though, but it would be more sensible to have Sue, with Clare Balding In the studio until 5.35 (she is scheduled until 4), then Gary after 6.

I'd be interested to know if there is a variation on this.

A little down the page is an interview with Jessica Ennis from this morning's Breakfast, now as I see it, it appears to be a special international version with the camera locked onto Jess the whole time, no wide shots of the studio, no cut to Bill and Hazel and no VT of the action (due to rights reasons of course) although you can hear the crowd cheering when they are playing the clips. I'd be curious to know if viewers in the UK are seeing the same thing or do they see the interview as it would have been played on Breakfast?

The opening ceremony's official rating was 24 million viewers, making it the most watched broadcast in the United Kingdom for 16 years.

As per DVBCornwall, I am also seeing this video as you describe. They have also hidden the fact that Michael Johnson was sitting next to her for the second part of the interview and have cut out a question that refers to him. The interview was at 08:14 during this mornings Breakfast if anyone wants to compare.

A little niggly thing - with all the live coverage over goodness knows how many channels, the one thing I wouldn't mind seeing is a 'Recorded' bug. Not overly important, granted.
