Is Sue Barker around today? Jake just did a round up and linked into Badminton.

Yes, at least she was an hour ago when Hazel handed over to her.

It's odd they didn't go to her, for the round up and to hand over to the Badminton then.

I agree, but it's also odd they don't have her in a more prominent presenting role in the first place.

The news has moved to BBC2 to allow Victoria Pendleton's race to be on BBC1. Be interesting to see what happens with the regional news.

Presumably also to allow Sue Barker top-billing with her "special guests".

Nicely done, Sue, too too formal - and little if any fawning!

I wonder if it was conscience decision not to allow Lineker to conduct the interview.

EDIT: Seems like it was recorded earlier, probably why Sue didn't do that earlier link I mentioned.

That may well have been their deal-breaker ....

Prince Henry : "It is impossible to be everywhere at once".

This was a missed opportunity for Sue Barker to promote the 24 BBC Olympic channels.

BBC Two just showed a clip of the interview which Sophie Raworth introduced as happening "earlier this afternoon" rather than "look at what you just missed on BBC One".

That would make sense.

"Coverage of the cycling will continue on BBC Two" caption just shown on BBC One, BBC Two (and probably BBC News Channel if their own graphics didn't cover it) who were all showing Team GB win the gold medal in the Team Pursuit [on bikes].

BBC LOOK EAST jumped as soon as BBC One cut away straight into the normal sting titles then headlines, but a flash of something appeared as we cut away.

By then watching BBC London it looks like we missed the trailers and the one in a lifetime opportunity to hear a generic, announcer/ment to regional news teams where you are, but even then BBC London flashed the News Channel
