Straight from Breakfast to Mishal this morning at 0900, with no pres in between. Which wouldn't normally be of note, except for the fact that Breakfast is from the gallery in Salford, and the Olympics programme is from a gallery in the IBC.
It also looks like the Google Street View car (or possibly trike) did a tour of Olympic Park about a month ago. here's the BBC studio, under construction.
Also, it seems that the studio is capable of attracting quite the crowd: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/olympics/19089663

Given the view on streetview it seems that studio is either facing or just around the corner from the big McDonalds hence why there are a lot of people nearby

Nothing to do with that, although McDonalds is close. It's situated on the edge of the main walkway through the park, so there are huge amounts of people walking past all the time. I was there yesterday when the rowers were talking to Olly Foster. Alan Hansen and Robbie Savage were upstairs with Jake and a floor manager kept on looking over, possibly concerned about the noise! Jake kept on turning around and waving though. http://postimage.org/image/olkrs7zch/ http://postimage.org/image/53liyjd0x/

Not sure - think most of it is just holding it up (greener and more cost-effective to use containers rather than build a structure). The BBC Sport galleries are in the IBC, not the containers, as that is where all the feeds are available.

How much of that BBC structure is actually useable space, and how much is just holding it all together?

There's not a huge amount in there. The shipping containers seem to be on a "you break it, you buy it" arrangement - so only a few of them have had holes cut in them to make them usable. The floor below the main studio has the most stuff in it - there's a small lighting control room in there. As noggin says, the gallery is up at the IBC.

And the interactive graphics:

Has this interactive presentation actually been used, or did it get quietly dropped after Matt's failure with it?

I saw Jake Humphrey use it, on either day one or day two and he did it properly and it worked, but it still seemed quite pointless and it wasn't doing anything that someone in the gallery couldn't already do.
