Anyway, they're not adverts they're part of the story as they're part of skyline. If there was a way to remove them whilst staying the in same location it would be censorship.
Far too many adverts visible behind the BBC studio in the Olympic Park. I can see ads for Dow, BP and of course the big Westfield signs.

I hope it's just an optional thing and they've mistakenly taken the wrong feed.
The Olympic ring replay wipe has a sound affect? Not heard that before.

I think censorship is the wrong word really.
I have seen it done, but that was on a feed from a single fixed camera so it was easy to put a square over the offending bit. Doing it in a studio like that would require a lot of computer jiggery pokery

I'll probably get an earful for asking this but what the hell. Why are the BBC using the Olympic rings in all their swipes and astons instead of the official 2012 Olympic logo?
DO
Because a) its not a good design for a wipe, and b) using the rings matches the host broadcaster, albeight the BBCs are coloured / gold instead of white.

Because it's the generic symbol of the Olympic Games - the 2012 logo is just a corporate advert for LOGOC basically.
The last two (or three) games have had Olympic Rings as a wipe.

Was doing it yesterday too. Apparently the BBC are getting complaints, but of course there's nothing they can do about it.

What the hell was the awful sound effect with the reply wipe?
