Meanwhile, over on BBC Three the studio exposed to the open air has a lot of background noise - helicopters, crowds cheering as they walk past on their way to the Opening Ceremony dress rehearsal - but in this particular case I think it's fine, helps to add to the atmosphere and makes the BBC Three broadcast a little more exciting and spontaneous than the polished BBC One studio.

BBC Olympics 13 is currently broadcasting the menu background without any other graphics apart from the DOG, if anyone wants to capture it

301 is now showing highlights of the first half of the delayed match at Hampden Park now that Sweden have beaten South Africa. I assume the second half will follow live.

On Friday, there's the opening rounds of the Archery on but according to the BBC website there's no coverage available and it's not showing on any of the BBC Olympics Channels, anyone know why?



Ohh yes I saw that, looks really good in HD.

It sounds like it just cut into the the live feed at half time which was showing highlights.

Yeah, if anyone can get an HD capture of it, I'd love a copy

I don't know who thought it was a good idea to have the DOG covering the score box. And I don't know why it's not been put on Freeview.

I don't believe its being filmed. As I understand it its for ranking competitors- 20 people shooting at targets, so not great television and no real bearing on the competition.

It's a non-competitive event- it's only to determine the order in which they compete for future days.
