The full version of First Steps is now being used on the standby caption for Torch Cam, if anybody's interested

EDIT: Feed restored, 4 loops of it and I didn't get to capture a single one of it! Ah well I'll buy it when it's released

First post on page 45 of any help?!

I'll admit that I don't actually read generic threads all the way through! Though cheers, much obliged Smile

24 hours to go till the first event starts.

Must admit to feeling apprehensive myself now.

The full version of Elbow's theme is amazing, I for one will be purchasing it on Friday Very Happy

For anyone who doesn't have access to the 24 Olympic feeds, they are also now available on TV Catchup. The feeds are also now on the Virgin Media EPG, I didn't see if they were available yesterday but they are on today.

EastEnders just made an appearance on the BBC News Channel. Wink

A bit misleading I think. For the EastEnders publicity team to imply it was a real part of the torch relay is one thing, but for the BBC News Channel to do it is quite another.

It *was* a real part of the torch relay.

That's impossible, for 2 obvious reasons:

Borehamwood isn't even part of the Olympic Torch relay. The closest it will be is Harrow and Barnet tomorrow.

Yesterday evening, the torch was in Wandsworth.

Yes, digital wasn't around 20 years ago. So surely there was more reason in 1992 for the BBC to avoid showing sport on BBC One and BBC Two at the same time - when there was only ITV and Channel 4 as an alternative. In 2012, there's a proliferation of other channels so there should be less harm in using One and Two for sport at the same time.

The point is that with their digital channels the BBC can show 2 channels of sport AND (a lot of) it's regular programmes. They're even doing that when the big news bulletins are on.

20 years ago it couldn't do that without using BBC2 and when the news was on there'd be one.

Does anyone else not think that at least one of the Olympics channels, should have launched at the very start of the torch relay? Therefore they could of shown the whole of the torch relay from location to location. The torch went through my village and I went to see it and would have loved to have been able to record it and watch it after. It is after all a once in a lifetime experience.

The One Show's Matt Baker just went around the BBC Sport studios.

BBC Three was set shown for the first time, very nice.

The BBC One studio seems to have some XBox Kinect style system for showing graphics in the main studio.

Matt will be doing the first interview in the set later on during tonight's One Show.

User error, I think.

To be fair, Matt Baker has probably only be shown how to use it quickly once, other presenters may have had more practice.

It is a bit gimmicky though.
