I remember watching DTT (in between ITV Digital and Freeview, when there wasn't much on the platform at all!) and the test transmissions on 801 and 802 for what became the World Cup interactive feeds. For a couple of days they just played the lovely Windmills transmission on a loop...

Indeed. Really is a wonderful track. And nice to hear how all the elements that we've heard individually so far blend into the full track.
I'm still holding out that the BBC are holding out on using their full Olympic GFX package until Wednesday, and that the 'botch job' we're currently seeing on the extra streams are just temporary.

With the listings for the Olympics channels - is there any sign of the Opening Ceremonies on there, just to confirm if there'll be the commentaryless etc versions in HD on those ala the discussion last page?
The picture quality of the NC on DSat is dreadful at the moment. I don't know whether they've used any bandwidth on that transponder for additional services.

Yes I looked yesterday and the commentary free version will be on Olympics 1, as well as the AD version on Olympics 2 (IIRC)
