Looking at that NBC logo I think one thing it is worth noting is that for all the fuss about the 2012 logo when it was revealed we'll probably hardly see it during the games themselves

Even by the usual US TV standards, the NBC London 2012 logo is dreadful

It goes against the whole point of the official logo.

I think that's the point. Although I think NBC use some awful creation like that for every games?

Yep, none of them are great or have any connection with the official branding:

So the point is that whilst London 2012 stands for a modern, multicultural London, NBC's logo stands for the stereotypical-'ello-guvnor-obligatory-shot-of-Big-Ben London?

I suspect so.

I think NBC get a lot of control of the pictures they show. Do they use the official graphics or get to use their own?

I think in the past they've done something similar to the BBC, and used the official graphics during the events, but created their own graphics for schedules/highlights etc.

Am I right in thinking that NBC have a completely separate camera team than the official host feed? I seem to remember in Vancouver they were showing completely different angles and shots to those on the official feed

NBC take their own facilities to cover various sports, either by adding an extra camera or two and switching it into the host feed back at the IBC, or by sending their own truck to take all the host feeds plus their own and producing it all on site.

The BBC in the past have faked up the host graphics for their own use.

Anyone know who's studios are these?

I think that BBC Sport will take the same theme to their normal graphics e.g. Wimbledon graphics

I think they're going gold with added Olympic rings if the tests are anything to go by.

That's Dennison Point, Al Jazeera are using some flats at the top along with the rooftop studio. It's part of the same estate as Lund Point, which BBC News are using.

Thanks, that's quite some studio they've put on the roof! I assume the non-framed windows 4 floors down is a studio.

I know these blocks are coming down after the games, but I wonder if the council have done work to the lifts in them. I can't imagine that the TV people would welcome being stuck half way up one of the towers in a piss-smelling graffitied lift

And I think you're quite likely to see the Lund Point studio on air for the Six O'Clock News on the 20th, what with it being a week to go..
actually, perhaps downgrade that to 'you might just see'. Some bits are apparently more ready to go than others...

They've had a wipe down. That's it. They're tiny, clunky and frightening.
