BBC 2012 - The Olympic Broadcaster

If anyone's interested, here's some photos of the first venue to be fully decorated with the London 2012 branding, the Aquatics Centre. According to the press release, three different colour schemes are being used: purple for most of the outdoor venues, blue for water based sports, and orange for most of the indoor sports.

That colouring seems to be the case for the broadcast graphics too if the official game is anything to go by.

Must say though that the banners don't make this Aquatics Centre look any less of a bunker - and haven't they changed the seats too - I'm sure they were yellow originally.

Those photos are of the water polo arena, not the aquatics centre.

Ah, of course they are. At least once the games begin the BBC will put up a graphic every 10 minutes telling us where they're being broadcast from.

Apologies, you're quite right. For some reason I was under the impression they were one and the same. Even so- the aquatics centre will be getting pretty much identical decoration.
