Annoying message for those of us, who have had to cover all the non-vital buttons on our grandad's Freeview remotes.

Is that presenting schedule mirrored throughout the games - far fewer shifts than on TV if that's the case.
BBC2 air their series looking back at the Olympics from Monday at 7pm across four nights - not quite the flagship slot I was expecting. Faster, Higher, Stronger also seems to have quite a narrow remit - episode 1 is dedicated to the 100m, episode 2 to Gymnastics, episode 3 to the 1500m and episode 4 to Swimming.

Perhaps they did and it wasn't very good?
I think everyone really likes the trails, it's just the athletes people aren't sure about.
Just seen the trailer and all I can say is Loyds TSB.
Why didn't they get Martin Lambie-Nairn to come up with an idea?

Yes it is pretty much - Mark Chapman will present with Victoria Derbyshire 10-2, Mark Pougatch will be solo 6.30-10.30 before Tony Livesey wraps up the day between 10.30 and 1.00.

Think I might listen to some of 5 Live's coverage, they're normally very good at covering the Olympics. I think much of my excitement for London 2012 goes back to listening to their late-night coverage of Atlanta '96, where as much of it seemed to be about soaking up the atmosphere around the city as the sport itself.

And then risk the titles being horrendously out of date when one of the athletes break their legs 2 days before the games start?
A good example of this is the National Lottery posters starring Jenny Meadows and other Team GB athletes. Only problem is that Meadows wasn't selected for the Games this week!
Animations are supposed to be caricatures IMO, not nearly life like but not quite, hency freaky! I do think this BBC promo would be much improved if the animated characters were real people

Before the 1996 Olympics I remember Radio 5 airing a series of one hour programmes that focused on each of the Summer Olympics since at least the War. It utilised archive BBC Radio commentary and up to date interviews with all those associated with the particular Games. It was an amazing series.
