And it's been uploaded already! Very Happy And BBC have just confirmed on Twitter that these are in fact going to be the titles:

On the whole very nice, though animated people seem to freak me out. The few seconds before and after that trailer though backs up for me why Gary Lineker shouldn't be the front man of the games - he doesn't really sound genuinely enthusiastic about it at all unlike when the likes of Claire Balding and John Inverdale talk about them.

I expect the Daily Mail will let us know how much that cost at some point.

Good, it's not just me then, I find them as creepy as those Lloyd's Bank CGI figures

I liked it. The animated gymnast was freaky though! Shocked I do like Gary Lineker but think it's a shame an all round sports presenter didn't get the main presenting gig like John Inverdale for example.

Also it's just been confirmed that the full 2"40 version is going to be shown this Tuesday at 19:30- presumably leading into Eastenders

Probably in their article calling for it to be banned due to it's effect on us folk in the Uncanny Valley. Laughing

Almost on topic, what are your thoughts on the British Gas CGI advert with the Olympic swimmers flying around?

Those are much worse than the previous cut-out-style graphics they used. I can see it was probably easier to do it that way but they just look unnatural. The previous style (like this) had more charm.

Animations are supposed to be caricatures IMO, not nearly life like but not quite, hency freaky! I do think this BBC promo would be much improved if the animated characters were real people - and notable athletes at that.
