I see that BBC 2 have played their 2 snowman ident today (16:30pm). It must be the first time they've used a christmas ident after christmas, however it is certainly appropiate.

Appologies if this has already been mentioned in another topic.

The same thing happened last year when we had snow.

They should do a BBC 2 ident where the surface is ice and '2' slips over on the ice and skids everywhere. Well that a fairly accurate representation of what I ended up doing whilst walking to work.

Good point. We may see the ice cube ident used later as the snow melts across the country and turns to ice.

Bit late now, all the snow's melted around here.

And the snow was a pathetic example of over-exaggeration about snow hitting the 'east coast' of Scotland. In Fife, we had about three 1hr long spirts that resulted in fractions of a mm of resulting snow.
Still not enough to stop those pesky neds...

Good grief Barney, we are a bit sour tonight. Been eating a few too many sour grapes?

The snow did affect most of the country, and that is why the ident was played. OK - they played it last year when the snow only affected the South East - but who actually cares if the ident was played out in an area which had little snow?
