Nice to see that BBC 2's Working Lunch was suffering from power failure at the start of the program and had to use the emergancy lighting (I think that's what it's called). Power came back on about 5 minutes into the program. Good transition between switching lighting and atleast the generator was working this time.

Cool

There was a power flux at about 12.05pm here. All the lights went off and TVs/other electrical equipement in the office went off for about a second. Computers seemed OK because of UPS, although some computer systems have been afected...

Oh, I was under the impression that's what was keeping the power going at the moment Laughing

News 24 was using standard lights for a few minutes at 12.30pm when I put it on.

Bad for Working Lunch, as they were bragging that it was it's 2000th edition. What a great way to start!

EDIT: My 2000th Post too! Scary.

Most of the lights in the main block went out - apart from emergency lighting. ENPS PCs stayed running as did TVs in news areas - though many TVs were switched off to conserve power. Apparently N24 were dipping the studio lighting between VTs for the same reason.

It'd have been like that Disco Sissons image. Just not as colourful.
