Did anyone notice there wasn't a weather bulletin either during the 1 or immediately after it today? Anyones know why there wasn't?
I notice Anna Ford has started to say: 'Hello, and welcome to the BBC news at 1'. Isn't a simple 'Good Afternoon' both easier and simpler?

Well she always used to say 'Good afternoon and welcome to the BBC News at One' whereas George Alahgiah says 'Hello and welcome to the BBC News at One (o'clock)'.
Michael Fish said they were having computer problems.

Hopefully Michael Burke and Peter Sissons won't catch this disease and start saying 'Welcome to the BBC's News at Ten' - The 'Good Evening' sounds much better!!

Yes, your Regional news started at 1:27pm and then at about 1:41pm, we had the Weather.
Michael Fish read it all, in front of the white 'Weather' screen, without any graphics as they were having 'computer problems'

Anna Ford did look slightly surprised at the end (ie. looking into wrong camera) that they were ending. Are all the regions ready from a period before to opt-out. I wonder if any weren't quite ready!
News24 have an irritating habbit of saying 'This is the Nine O'Clock News from News 24' but don't mention any other time of day. Urgh!!!

Yes, when the BBC switched from Nine to Ten last October they always used to say on the Six that there would be a special bulletin with Gavin Estler at Nine on BBC News 24.
