I have read on a website that the next BBC analogue closedown (when testcards J & W are used) is on:

Friday 5th January 2005 between 3.00am - 5.00am on BBC ONE and BBC TWO

The TV Guide schedules dont go that far ahead at the moment - so cant confirm this yet!

i'm confused, is it the 7th or the 5th? i got information from malcy's yahoo group that it was the 7th, the headline on that website also says the 7th, but then it says the 5th underneath.

Friday 5th January 2005 doesnt exist so i guess it was a typo on the website and that its actually:

Friday 7th January 2005 3.00am - 5.00am

Which yahoo group are you refering to?

Thanks for that link - i didnt know that group existed!

BBC TWO seems to be making more use of BBC NEWS 24 in its late night schedules this year, which pushes ceefax pages back into the early hours. I can remember BBC TWO closing down around 1.00am this time last year and ceefax pages running from around 1.00am to 7.00am.

Any TV listings confirming this yet?

Digiguide only goes up to January 3rd so far and paper listings come out on Christmas Eve.

Digiguide is now showing listings for Friday 7th January 2005 and it says that the analogue closedown is on BBC ONE from 3.30am - 4.30am. I would guess that BBC TWO is also off at the same time.
Will digital BBC ONE and BBC TWO show Testcard W ??

Digital will probably go to / stay on N24 on BBC1, and TCW on BBC2. I think that's how it usually goes anyway.
