Something I noticed last night when flicking through SKY last night.

Magic was showing various film hits.

I noticed the video they showed for Seal's 'Kiss From A Rose' (from Batman Forever I think), was completely different from the one I taped from VH1 about 10 years ago, which had all the clips from the film in!

Also, I've mentioned before, probably on here, that we used to tape odd off air pop videos off various shows.

When I see transmissions years later, on various satelite channels, you spot an edit on the new transmission, that wasn't on the old transmission!

Why is that?

i was wondering where do the hits get their videos from the 80s and 90s?
i've seen some of them and they look worn out.
e.g. Jennifer Warnes - I've Had The Time Of My Life (Dirty Dancing)

It could have been the first video to the song on its first release in 1994 (from the "Seal II" album) - which IIRC features Seal and a female model. A new video was made when the track was put on the Batman Forever soundtrack featuring scenes from the movie and Seal on a Gotham City background.

They've been doing this for months, you're right it doesn't make any sense. With any luck C4 will give The Hits a complete overhaul to make it more like E4 Music.

C4 are buying the Hits? Did I miss something?

Great news, about time E4 Music (or whatever it'll be called) got it's own channel. I did use to prefer TMF over The Hits, but TMF is just full of Sky One/Channel 4 (circia 1998) and a few tunes in the morning.

Where The Hits falls down is that if there are not many people phoning in then you can get the same track voted for in the space of half hour.
