Well I think that's a bit uncalled for. Rolling Eyes And 'much of Britain' obviously doesn't feel the same.

Much of Britain feels the same.

The man clearly need's help. Section him. If not on Mental Health grounds on been a **** grounds...

I dread to think what has been censored there (I hope it was nothing to do with him being gay), but "sectioning" people is a serious business and not something to suggest by people who clearly have no idea about mental health issues.

Barrymore was driven out of the UK by a nasty section of the press who wanted to see him dead. I say good luck to him in rebuilding some sort of life and career here. He'll not be a big rating puller on ITV again, but in the right thing at the right time he could work.

Much of Britain?

I've read / heard nothing but praise and happiness for Michael - and most people have grown to understand that his career was ruined by the press - and not actually because he did anything wrong at all.

Refusing to give evidence to the inquest of someone who died at your home while you were there (and lying, according to the coroner) is wrong in the minds of many.

You can't have heard "nothing but praise" unless you are ignoring many of the posts here.

The fact that he enjoyed a champagne and drug fuelled lifestyle is irrelevant. It is deeply unfortunate that someone died, but these things can happen.

The problem I have always had with Barrymore is that I simply don't find his anarchic antics funny. If his only comedy stylings involve throwing himself around, rummaging through old ladies handbags, and dated impressions that Freddy Star would be proud of, then I hardly think he is a candidate for another television vehicle.

In essence he is just a bit rubbish, in my view.

Well according to Broadcast it seems the courting period as already begun.

It says that ITV, Channel 4 & five are going to watch his performance on the Friday Night Project tonight.

I think if you hated Michael before you will hate him now. He may have lost one or two fans due to his antics and no doubt simply because he is gay but there is no doubt there are a huge number of people, like myself, who would like to see him back on TV.

He's always been a good entertainer, but he will never be able to front family based shows whilst the contestants think he is gay Sad

Is there any need for such an expression harshy? Surely "gay" would suffice?

Incidentally, I've yet to see Barrymore do anything amusing in this programme so far.

What do you mean by 'arsebender'?

If you're on about him being gay, then Paul O'Grady and Co. seem to get on fine.

If not, then you're wrong - most people know he is innocent.
