Well given the performance of his 'act' last night, Hitler and Frank Spencer impersonations, I'd say that his career is very much at an end.

I'd be very surprised if Barrymore gets back on terrestrial TV, in all honesty, after Celebrity Big Brother regardless of whether he wins or not. There's just been too much water under the bridge as it were and the family of the dead man will probably heckle him at any performances he would end up doing.

I think the best Barrymore could hope for is generally potting about on various programmes for Sky, most likely propping up Sky Travel or some obscure programme in a graveyard slot on Sky Three.

Either that or he could go and join Peter Simon. Simon's claim to fame was being unable to stand up for more than three seconds on Double Dare/Run The Risk in the late 1980s and early 1990s, but these days has been reglated to selling stuff on Bid TV. Now there's a fall from grace.

I can appreciate that Lubbock's family are grief stricken still and seeing who they think is their sons murderer on TV can't be helpful. But to be honest, Terry Lubbock going to the press and criticising everything he does which is just a little bit off the wall is childish. It is clear that he has a hatred of Michael Barrymore from his previous statements and yet he is going to watch BB to find out the 'truth'. Now if he didn't give the truth in court when is he going to give it?

I certainly hope not. Shocked I was rather hoping that he had killed off his career for good this time Confused

I wouldn't be surprise if he turns out to be ITV's replacement for Paul O'Grady.

I feel both will forget how they parted Company. Working together would be an advantage to both.

It wouldn't surprise me if he was to host the revived Bullseye.

Well if he has i can't see it lasting long. It was quite apparent while on Big Brother that he was still having emotional problems. I think these may get in the way of his tv comeback somehow.

if he does come back - the only useful presenting skills he has for todays reality-led TV are for My Kind of People, or even presenting new versions for Strike it Lucky/Rich and My Kind of Music (I actaully liked this gameshow - only decent music quiz since Name That Tune was originally on ITV!!!)

My Kind of Music was a great programme and suited Michael to the ground. The "My Kind of" brand was getting a little rinsed at the time if I recall. Wasn't there a "My Kind of People" programme too? Oh and that awful Animals Do They Funniest Things which Tony (where is he now) Blackburn and Tara Double-Barrelled ended up presenting.

Personally I say give him another chance. He's ITV fodder, give him the 5pm weekday slot. We'll then have two old queens battling for the audience figures. Wink

My Kind of Music was a brilliant end to the weekend. 7pm on a Sunday.

Altogether now.. "Its my kind of music...dododododo dobeedoodoo"
