So, second week of the second series. They have changed the format slightly for this series but they have kept the most popular element, the 'technical problems' although I am sure half of them are caused by George Lamb himself.

A contestant buzzed in, the name on their podium flashed but for some reason Lamb asked another contestant to give an answer instead. The person Lamb asked didn't have their microphone faded up so someone, possibly the sound guy/gal, knew what was happening even if Lamb didn't. Lamb blamed this cock-up on "the machines". They started the round again. One woman looks like she is about to puke.

Wouldn't it be better to have a prerecorded voice reading out the contestant's name like on many other shows?

George Lamb just dropped the F bomb. It was part of a question (a quote from the popular band Oasis) but its still quite a unique thing to hear in a game show.

I did notice on the last Saturday's programme that they stopped the clock and abandoned a question after George Lamb couldn't pronounce a name properly.

EDIT : It's over running now too.

Some nice bits seem to have dropped. The way the split screen would fade each frame in individually with a stronger piece of music is one thing that comes to mind.

I also don't like the way Lamb paces behind the contestants. He needs a podium or something.

With the exception of the "bankrupt" twist I think most of the changes - especially the layout of the Vault - have been for the worse this series. I've pretty much given up on it now - and it hasn't made any improvement at all on around 1.2m in the ratings.

So how are they going to save it - they've decided two celebrity specials to finish of the series will surely secure it a third.

Odd situation on the show last night, George Lamb started asking a question, stopped half way through, decided he didn't like that one, rewound the clock and asked something else instead. He also gave an incorrect answer to a question but this didn't affect the game and he corrected himself later on.

This is why The Million Pound Drop has such long pauses - not for the tension, but so they don't make such stupid mistakes. Or maybe George Lamb is just awful.

Maybe they should turn the vault into a Cube like character, and have it do the questions. If it didn't like whoever was presenting inside it, it could electrocute them.

Well, this evening's mistake was a contestant trying to buzz in but her buzzer not working. According to the programme, she didn't buzz in, in time. I don't know if that was true or not. George Lamb obviously thought she had buzzed in, in time because he asked her to answer the question anyway and then started talking about buzzers not working while using the word 'guys'.

Not sure if this was a George Lamb mistake or a mistake by someone else tonight.

Exciting show though. I bet contestant Scott wishes it could go on for longer as his 4 show winning streak (Winning £198000 so far) will have to come to an end due to the final being tomorrow and celebrities editions the following week(s).

EDIT: George Lamb just messed up introducing a VT (as the show is under running), so he didn't let us down after all.

Scott winning then screws up them having a top 5 from the series tomorrow as he has won 4 of the 7 shows, so they only have 4 winners - and it's not really a show where you have best runner ups.

The tie-break would probably be the amount of money taken to the final round.

Just went off air back then. BT Tower test card and all during the credits of the show. Confused

Great show last night. Everyone came away with money too. It's rare for modern game shows to have a feel good factor like that.

I can't think how, but I'd like to imagine the breakdown in transmission at the end was somehow George Lambs' fault. Imagine if it had happened a few minutes before, just as the contestants opened their cases, that would have been a fantastic ending in so many ways.

The version on 4od doesn't have the breakdown at the end.

The ending was kind of obvious - Scott had no reason to try and steal the money, Stacey did.
