That's probably not enough reason though in this case.
I try to be fair to new shows, but this one seemed to fail on almost all counts, I don't see what could be changed to make it workable.
It's a mess, and better to try something different.
Depends how long they have signed the deal with Gordon. If the contract lasts for just one series then they are fine to say goodbye to it, if the contract is for another series, then they have to make changes, and try to reformat it for the better and give a second chance.
One question I ask myself is this, if the person who devised this and is the presenter wasn't already famous, would it have been made at all? Would it have been heavily promoted, and would it have been put out at 9pm on BBC 1?
