An appearance of Marjorie would be welcome. As long as we don’t have the projectile vomit lady from the garden fete cake stall!

Matt Lucas - surprising yet excellent choice.

It'll either really work or really won't. Has he worked with Noel Fielding before?

I can already see a cameo appearance by Marjorie from FatFighters!

Marjorie Dawes is a name I never fail to find amusing

I can't remember them working together but do remember that Noel Fielding was on an episode of the revived Shooting Stars when George Dawes was still the scorekeeper in the first revived series about 10 years ago before he left and was replaced by Angelos.

Junior Bake Off with Harry Hill - has been axed.

This is due in part to Channel 4's financial position.

Whilst budget is likely to be an issue, I would guess it is more to do with the main show needing to take priority when filming is able to resume, as it is going to be tight to get it all done anyway and they don't need Junior Bake Off taking up time.

And it was the first Junior show since C4 took on the show anyway. I suspect it may be repeated in the weeks and months ahead.

Wonder if Bake Off may ditch it's usual weekend filming pattern in favour of doing a block recording over a month or so to catch up.

Doubt it as I can't see many employers being open to employees taking a month off to film a TV programme when things return to normal.

I’m sure it could be done, maybe doing it Thursday-Sunday rather than Saturday-Sunday would mean they can get a series wrapped in five weeks. Would be tough on the contestants though

There's plenty of shows that require contestants to be available during the week. Some people quit work, some people work something out with their employer. It would just be a case of casting people willing and able to do it.

In the current climate I expect they could probably find a whole cast who are completely out of work anyway!
