Do they need another host? Surely Noel could do it him self.

He needs someone to say "get set" at the start of each round.

The hosts are there to check on the Bakers, and at least earlier on, having 2 heads managing that is better than one trying to run around to check in on everyone before their time is up. Having one host dashing about is probably more likely to risk them accidentally interfering with the bakers work. (yes I know it's happened before with 2 - but still, you probably don't want someone dashing about a busy workspace regardless)

Sandi and Noel seemed an odd pairing but it seemed to work out pretty well for the most part. Sad to see her go but just means another chance for someone else to shine in the bake-off tent.

Putting a vote in for Gino if only to maximise potential for innuendo.

Sarah Millican seems inevitable.

Oh, Jesus God no!

Nadia Sawalha.

Janet Street-Porter.

Nadiya Hussain.

Nadiya has been suggested. Suppose it's good in terms of her being familiar to fans of the show already.

They can do better than that.

I think Angela Scanlon would work well, deserves a big UK gig and would freshen things up a bit.

Nadiya Hussain is very likeable and has a good sense of humour, which I think is required, but I think the dynamic would be upset because she's a baking expert.

I think the comic Jayde Adams would be perfect alongside Noel. She's not the biggest name but definitely a rising star.

Or maybe she could do Extra Slice and Jo Brand have the main show.

She is hosting a new show on C4 with Heston Blumenthal called Crazy Delicious, which starts on Tuesday. If that goes well (but perhaps not well enough to receive a recommission) she might be in with a shot.

The Great Pottery Throwdown has been revived by Love Productions and is doing very well for More4 (best ratings in 5 years), fronted by Melanie Sykes, but I think for Bake Off it's not a "presenter" they're after, it's more a personality.

If JBO were to still be on CBBC and GBBO on Channel 4, would Channel 4 have been able to promote it on their channel?

I don't see why not. In 2012, there was a certain amount of cross-promotion between the Olympics and Paralympics. Whether they'd want to in this hypothetical case is another matter entirely.
