Most of the channels are getting lazier by the year.
Very lazy, I remember ITV1 doing that years ago. Couldn't they be a bit smarter and experiment with the S more often? A mock idea would be to have a Christmas pudding with a creamy S on it or a gift wrapped S in front of a fireplace instead of the ITV generic ECP or whatever it's called.
Seeing as they still need to show their Christmas ident why couldn't they show some Scots eating Christmas dinner passing around a you know what or to make it more interesting two family members pull a cracker, S comes out of it, falls on floor, gets picked up and then placed on the screen? Yes? No?

To be fair, they have put more effort in than ITV1 and Channel 4, who have nothing this year.

IMO, They really look better now with just the one scene and no 'S' passing. The soundtracks are also edited thus, so a slightly different arrangement.
Shame it'll probably revert in a few days.

I agree. I feel they look far more professional now. I always felt the 's' passing looked a bit daft. I hope these remixed idents are kept after christmas just with the sparkles removed. I also like the remixed music and the sparkles are a nice, subtle christmasy touch. Not too over the top.
