Yes, Love Island is trash TV, but doesn't necessarily reflect the overall taste of that demographic. People I know mix it up with high brow telly/Netflix.

If this is the sort of s**t TV that is getting BAFTA awards, then BAFTA is no longer the prestigious organisation it once was.

A load of drivel from someone who’s clearly never seen it before. As reality shows go it is by the far the best produced, has an exceptional story and casting team and has remarkably high production values. I’d much rather watch it over many of the programmes receiving awards tonight, particularly some of the scripted stuff.
