Already mentioned are the late start and the picture interference every now and then.

It’s worth saying the presentation of the event is ahem ‘different’ this year.

Sue Perkins irritated me with her sexist comments within about twelve seconds. Its now on in the background and I'm following via twitter. Picture keeps going weird as previously mentioned and there seems to be a little bit of cut-and-shut editing between the winners speeches and the announcements of the next categories. (Although I am watching on the iPlayer so it may have buffered and not reset itself properly)

...and the VO is frankly irritating.

The technical issues on BBC One are not helping with these awards at all. Come on BBC; sort them out please.

Very bizarre editing, going straight into awards with no intros from the host It’s like we are watching edited highlights.

Also the young people who make TV probably loved Love Island, but 90 year old Doris who watches BBC One on a Sunday evening doesn’t, so choosing Iain Stirling as the voiceover for such a prestigious event is a mistake.

Quite refreshing just moving on quickly from one to the next. Agree Iain Stirling is not right at all for the voiceover.

I'm 24 years old and I had to google who the announcer was. I had no idea he works on Love Island.

I guess his choice was to add a few more 'cheap' laughs during the somewhat clunky bit of getting the award winners on stage, but like you say, I think it was a poor choice.

It’s like when they had stars from Towie appearing on the Generation Game. Sunday nights on BBC One are a million miles away from ITV2 and ITV Be.

Is the editing for the BAFTAs usually this shoddy? I know there’s a very tight turnaround before broadcast, but the sound editing is pretty terrible, and there’s been a few dodgy and wobbly camera shots.

As others have mentioned, the jarring cuts between the awards make it feel like we are watching a highlights show.

John Bishops introduction to this award makes me think he would have been a far better choice of host than Sue Perkins.

So just one trip to the BT Studios for tributes to John Motson then.

I think that’s C5’s first ever BAFTA. Very well deserved it’s an unexpectedly excellent series.
