Surely ITV can't take the credit for the Hungarian Grand Prix race coverage, as that was a world feed produced by a host broadcaster (RTL I think)? And as for James Allen, well the less said the better...

Quite, any more than another nominee in that category, the BBC Winter Olympics coverage ?

And indeed Cricket on Five who take the live feed from Sky and edit it - although in that respect they do make some good features and commentary...

I don't recall seeing seeing a hand gesture but his face defiantly had a "what the f*ck?" look though. - as did most of the other soaps cast. Idiots. Rolling Eyes Laughing

Some surprising results - some good some bad.
I'm glad 'The Choir' won over 'The Apprentice' same with 'The Street'. Liz Smith should have won best comedy performance though.

Found it on Youtube no ****ers sign but definaltly a bitter bitter face

I *think* it refers to when the casualty cast are walking around the edge of the seating (seating on left) to get up onto stage, around 54 seconds on the youtube clip.

The winners this evening are truly weird,I fully expected Corrie to walk away with the bafta like everyone else did

Really? I didn't? I actually thought Emmerdale would get it - they've had a good year. Corrie on the whole had a weak 2006, as did EastEnders so I'm glad neither of them got it because it may convince TPTB to try a wee bit harder.

Disagree about Emmerdale having a good 2006 - it was so boring last year that I stopped watching after 13 years as a regular viewer.

I think Corrie had a good 2006 - it was most of 2005 that was below average.

Nice to see Casualty win.

Well the BBC hardly just took the pool coverage and broadcast it as-is like so many broadcasters, they had an excellent team and coverage as well as insightful features and enjoyable highlights.

ITV's nomination for the US GP the year before was very well deserved as they really told the unfolding story better than anyone else using their reporters and pundits, but just because Jenson Button won and James Allen reached a pitch only audible to dogs they did not deserve to win this year! You could have predicted the post-race analysis for several years, in fact it was probably scripted a long time ago. I thought cricket on five's handling of the forfeited test fiasco, as well as their normally great coverage, was more deserving.
