It's a bit unfair to blame Sky for a naff television channel which they happen to carry on their platform.

I think it's that channel's fault, not Sky's.

It's a bit like blaming Marconi when Radio 4 change the time The Archers goes out.

Agreed the channel itself is not part of Sky, just one of the channels that rents (?) space on their EPG

Not true, there are tons of crap in the 100's surrounding abc1. They goto channels numbers depending on category. 900's is home to adult, gaming, specialist, the regions and Sky CS. 100's is Entertainment. As said, it's not necessarily Sky's fault, these channels just rent the EPG space (and sometimes I wonder where they get the money, as it ain't cheap). However, it would be nice to see them introduce quality control.

I agree its not worth getting - I have NTL and get the phone, broadband and tv for £30 a month as I only have the base tv pack which has all the digital channels we watch - Sky One, Sky Two, Five Life/US E4, ITV2. Pointless getting any other pack as there is nothing of interest on the other channels.

Me and my mates were flicking through Sky the other night and went onto those "lovely" 900 channels. One of them appeared to be having technical problems in which they lost all DOGS, the telephone numbers, t+c etcs and not the women Laughing The screen switched to all black screen with the DOGS showing and flipped between the two. The company behind the channel kept it like this so they could get the number on the screen but with the girls saying you can't see us but we really want you to call us. Of course you do at the prices you charge!

If we were in a cable area it be the way we'd go too - but without Freeview is more than enough.

Well I was going to get Freeview but is isnt yet available in my area apparently. When I typed my postcode in it said it should be available by the digital tv switchover.
