Bad Lads Army is back and this year it's extreme. The show takes thirty of Britain's roughest troublemakers and subjects them to a harsh dose of military life - 1950s style.
I personally thought the best series was the first one, when they just took regular blokes off the street. Was usually much funnier and they had the two good corporals instead of the new ones.

Oh well, thats ITV for ya!
Yes the first series was the best IMO, There were more likeable characters as they were just normal people. I did find the 3rd series better than the 2nd as far as the characters were concerned, although there was no Corporal Nyocas (or however it is spelt)
I'm pleased this is returning. Dennis Waterman's narration is brilliant. It would be good if Nyocas returned fully this time..lets hope Corporal Murray is still there and the Captain 'Mr Bean' lookalike.
Britains roughest troublemakers. They always say that. But they are usually blokes who've been convicted of selling a spliff to a school kid or something. I demand they get murders in
I love how Bad Lads Army, That'll Teach Em' and the holiday camp one are all pretty much identical in their format, content and titles. Are they all made by the same company?
You can tell all these have an agenda though to pursue- National Service is good, exams now are easy etc.
