Did anyone notice on Look North alately they used a background to the normal one they use?

I swear they used a background of Derby City Centre which is'nt really classed as a Northern background is it? Or is it?

Derby? Which background do you mean as I can't say I've seen Derby!! Pigeon flew into the camera on Look North Leeds tonight!! Peter and Clare looked round again and mentioned it!

no, was definitely Derby town centre, I lived in Derby for many years and recognised the architecture. Did see the pigeons as well though.

Do we think this is a conspiracy by ITV to disrupt Look North?????

It was definitely Leeds as far as I could see. Haven't been to Derby but do live near and have worked in Leeds and it was the usual shot.... I think (oh, you've got me into self-doubt now!!)

Have any of you seen the South Today one? Its also changed, the images now show cars ion the background driving about!

I've never seen a different background on Look North, only Leeds.

Although they did change the window picture to a picture of a major news story last week, whilst they read out viewers e-mails

If Look North ever gets a comfy seating area, maybe the could use the 'weather-cam/web-cam' view which points in the opposite direction

Yes, saw them changing the window and thought this looked quite good - do any of the other regions do it. I suppose for those people (and I'm told there are some!) who think it really is a window it came as quite a shock!

Look North should surely have a comfy area - they could go there after the new Hull opt-out and Leeds come back together for the final 5 minutes of the programme.

Also, have you noticed how they have been doing a couple of days of saying at 6.35, 'coming up in 15 minutes on Look North' obviously testing for the new Hull opt which is how they will probably do it and come back at 6.50 for the 'light' features and weather!

I don't know if you already know, but Look North may be going into another, larger studio. I hope it will have a comfy area, but i'm sure Peter Levy (the hardest working newscaster) will sleep on it when not on air!

Wasn't it that Look North would only get a larger studio though when they have a new building in a different part of Leeds which will not be for a few years yet. The only way they could have a bigger studio now would be to scrap the old set (which they use for Super League Show and others) and have the soft area there. But, yes, Peter Levy would surely sleep there - he must live in the Woodhouse Lane studios!!
