Do I take it that the title for this thread ought to be "Baby Ballroom", as just TWO words?

I assume that ITV haven't yet sunk low enough as to be doing a programme about the room which contains the balls of the baby.

forget the tellytubbies here are our bollo#s Shocked

maybe we watch a room full of toddlers kicking footballs balls around

hopefully it wont be a fame quest for doting mothers everywhere who THINK their child can sing

think being the operative word there.

Could ITV class this as children's television then - even if it is Saturday night rather than Saturday morning?

I saw the trailer for this and thought I won't watch it as I think it's creepy when 6-year-olds pretend to be 'grown-ups' and then I saw that Ray Quinn was on the judging panel and thought definitely not!

As Paul Potts has released and album and the little kids are on this, I wonder where/when the next Britain's Got Talent contestant(s) will try to extend their 5 minuets of fame?

so it's a remake of a failed channel four children's pop programme presented by a grown up child star of a failed channel four soap

Baby Ballroom: The Championship
Saturday 28th July 2007 18:25 1/3

Kate Thornton hosts this new series which sees the UK's top ballroom dancers aged 11 or under competing in the ultimate dance-off to find the Baby Ballroom Champions of 2007. Tonight, in the first of two heats, seven couples dance for their place in the grand final. Only three of them will be guaranteed the opportunity to dance again - the decision rests with judges Ray Quinn, Bonnie Langford and Pierre Dulaine.

It seems rather reminiscent to Channel 4's Minipops , I saw the promo earlier and thought it really looks disturbing, it just doesn't seem right.....

I can't believe all you people are having a go at this show when all some of you have seen is the advert. At least watch it and then post a fair comment.

As for Ray Quinn, he's a former British Champion many times over at Ballroom and Latin American as well as other dance principles and has been ranked as high as second in the world, so I'd say he's more than qualified to be a judge.

If you don't like him fine, you don't have to keep putting the lad down.

Yes we can, we can talk about or slag off what we want to thanks very much.

You honestly think this programme will be quality entertainment? Think on.

It's safe to assume your association with the show.

Please don't take it personally. I think we're all feeling the strain of the genre.

I'd have to agree with that, it's not like there has been a drought of dance shows/competitions on TV of late Wink
