It's usually the odd swear word or sex reference cut out of tBBT I seem to recall.

As usual, my opinion is "if you can't put it out in full at a time slot, don't put it out at all."

TBH Kids wouldn't understand many of the concepts in the series (physics, autism, Jewish / Indian stereotypes etc) so it's for over 14s anyway. So, if a 12 certificate film can have the odd swear word, why can't a PCC-vetted comedy at 8pm?

One of the more awful examples of E4 editing, really the whole clip is included for context but it's mainly in the last 5 or 10 seconds.

I thought we were bad for this, but being in New York just recently, I caught some syndicated versions of 'Big Bang Theory' on US Cable. This one particular episode I watched (which I knew quite well) had the first 5 minutes cut entirely. I believe a commercial half hour in American TV is a lot shorter than here, and a commercial half hour in syndicated TV in America is even shorter. So we could have it worse here Smile

Maybe they were trying to make BBT funny Wink

On a more serious note some versions are shown outside their original TX eg "Hill Street Blues" during afternoons and early mornings. It was considered too strong for those times so was botched. What's worse is that was the basis of the UK DVDs and made no sensense.
I had to get US versions to see full shows.

They managed to stuff up the DVD release of the first and sixth seasons of Bergerac by using the daytime edits Mad
