Episodes doesn't air on Channel 4.

Not Episodes the TV shows, but Episodes of tv shows,....

That was so bad, jumped strait to Google to see what was cut out, gun shot and suffocation from a bag (almost)

There don't seem to be many Simpsonses that get by without a cut lately, but this was a particularly egregious example, making a bit of a nonsense of some scenes. The Big Band Theory gets the scissors treatment from time-to-time too, although at least there's a chance of seeing that uncut on occasion.

Does that involve giant rubber bands or a traditional Yorkshire brass band?

I thought we were bad for this, but being in New York just recently, I caught some syndicated versions of 'Big Bang Theory' on US Cable. This one particular episode I watched (which I knew quite well) had the first 5 minutes cut entirely. I believe a commercial half hour in American TV is a lot shorter than here, and a commercial half hour in syndicated TV in America is even shorter. So we could have it worse here

I believe the syndicated Tv episodes have been given an extramly rough time over in the states if there appear on DVD box sets. I believe a few have had to use mainly syndicated version due to cost of making the oringal better.

Prime EG: Alf, Im lead to believe the EU version is not syndicated, but no one has been able to prove the UK version of the DVD are syndicated or Original.
